Why We Chose Adoption
We chose adoption because we feel that it is a wonderful way to build the family we dream of. Adoption is very important for us because we know that fate has led us to this path. We feel that adoption will only lead us to joy and to achieve our dreams of a larger family. We believe that a child will only add to our happiness. We have had wonderful experiences with adoption. Anthony has cousins who were adopted as children, and Sefi has friends who are birthmothers. In both circumstances all parties reflect such happiness, that we cannot doubt that adoption is anything short of amazing.
We hope that through this letter we can give you a glimpse of what our family is like.
We both share common parenting goals. Our relationship is based on honesty, caring and understanding, all qualities which we plan to use as parents. We want our child to pursue any dream that he/she desires. It is important for parents to encourage their children to do what they dream of. A parent's support serves as the child's inspiration to reach for his/her goals. We both had supportive parents and wish to convey that to our child as well.
We live in San Diego, California. Our home is within walking distance of a high school, elementary school, and junior high school. Our community also has playgrounds, pools, tennis courts, a fitness center, and picnic areas close to our home. We can't wait to walk our child to school and have a picnic by the playground! One of the best features of our area is the ocean and that we live close to so many fun things like the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, the Wild Animal Park and of course Disneyland.
