Many people are
wondering what would happen on
“Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the
number of the beast, for it is a number of a man: His number is 666.” (Rev. 13:8)
This
scriptural verse is very clear. 666 is “the number of the beast, for it is a number of a man: His number is 666.” This
number has nothing to do with the date.
I know someone whose birthday is June 6 and that person should not have
any worry about it at all. 666 also have
nothing to do with any other thing or event except the “Mark of the Beast”.
In May 2004 I attended the A.W.C.F. Congress
in
As
Christians we should not allow the number 666 or Friday 13 affect our lives or
influence our thoughts, speech and behavior.
If we do then we would be compromising with the occult and superstition.
Mark of the Beast
Of all the
subjects concerning the End Time the mark of the beast is the one that most
Christians like to study. First of all
we need to understand the nature of the beast that has the mark. The beast is distinguished from man who is
created in God’s image (Gen. 1:26-27; 2:7; Ecc.
Number of a Man
Scientific minded persons may associate the “number of a man” to Carbon
which is the element whose compounds are the basis of human life. Carbon has an Atomic Number of 6 and its
atomic mass has 6 protons and 6 neutrons.
Also note that a diamond is compressed carbon, so think of it as
One interpretation is that 666 is actually a code based on the letters of
someone's name or a word. This sparks great public interest since it seems to
provide some way to identify the Antichrist.
Numerologists like to devise clever ways of assigning numbers to letters
so that the letters of a name will add up to this symbolic number. By adapting the rules however, it is possible
to connect most if not all names to the evil number. See also Vicarius Filii Dei.
More convincing interpretations invoke more than mathematics to prove their
point. For example, scholars who believe the Book of Revelation refers to historical
people and events argue that the number represents the value of Nero or Neron
Caesar (נרון קסר, Nrwn Qsr*,
pronounced "Neron Qesar") in Hebrew
letters, which also have numerical values under the form of numerology
called Gematria
(note that Hebrew is written from right to left):

Some others have calculated the name of
Mohammed to 666. 
The Man of Sin
is Revealed
Throughout history there have been
individuals who epitomized evil and who were hostile to everything the Lord
Jesus Christ stands for. These
antichrists have lived in every generation and will continue to work their
evil. One thing is certain and that is
before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ God will reveal the identity of “the man of sin . . . the son of perdition” who is a completely evil man. He will be Satan’s tool, equipped with
Satan’s power. (1 Thes. 2:9) This “lawless one” will be
the ultimate Antichrist. The apostle
Paul wrote about this Antichrist in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-12.
1 Now, brethren, concerning
the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask
you,

Not to be soon shaken in
mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as
though the day of Christ had come.
3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for
that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is
revealed, the son of perdition,
4 Who opposes and exalts himself above all
that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the
5 Do you not remember that when I was still
with you I told you these things?
6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his
own time.
7 For the mystery of lawlessness is
already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of
the way.
8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of
His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.
9 The coming of the lawless one is according
to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders,
10 And with all unrighteous deception among
those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they
might be saved.
11 And for this reason God will send them
strong delusion, that they should believe the lie,
12 That they all may be condemned who did not
believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Allah, His angels, and men possessed of knowledge and upholding justice bear
