this is a very strange looking contraption on the edge of the restricted area. I've heard many things, one person said it's a laser to wipe out trespassers, another said it's a heat sensing device to seek out intruders, another person said it's a regular run-of-the-mill antenna. (I frankly don't belive the latter)

This is a picture of aircraft testing taken in the 50's-60's in the area around the restricted zone. It clearly shows a triangular shaped codename "aurora" secret aircraft that area 51 is known in dealing with.

I'm not certain about the authenticity of this map. It apparently shows the area 51 base itself. To me, it dosen't look very authentic though.
