The Heraldry Society exists to promote the study and use of heraldry in Southern Africa. It helps to keep members informed about the art, history, law and science of heraldry and to encourage the everyday use of heraldry.

The society produces a regular journal, Arma, which contains articles and information relating to heraldry and allied subjects. The journal is distributed free to all paid-up members.
