Deran was always in touch with the community, not as a politician,but as an Uncle to everyone.   We will miss him every time we remember him.

I believe the 2nd pic is when he was very ill.  This shows you the change in the man, physically, and the consistency to his commitments, the community.

The Dukes roots in Fresno goes without saying.  What a time it was, having him and Chip Pashayan, and of course, many others at that time.
