The Brattle
Home away from home for Dan and Sean. The Greatest Movie theatre in the entire world!!!! Just think if your ramshackle YMCA/Church reception hall had a screen on which you could watch the show (you won't believe their endless selection!) from duct-taped seats- that's the Brattle and we wouldn't change a thing.
Coolidge Corner
Boston's most beautiful theatre and a true relic of 1950's decoart stylings. Like us, they're nonprofit and are devoted to showing the best of the smaller movies, from documentary to local experimental video to great foreign flicks and more. The Coolidge is also the Brattle's sister theatre.
Netflix
Looking for DVDs to rent before you buy? This site stocks every title ever put on DVD- no joke. And you can rent them for a reasonable monthly fee with NO late charges ever. Take that Blockbuster!*

*Casey and Dan are both employees of Blockbuster
IMDB
The Greatest Most Complete Movie Site Ever! This is it.
Entertainment Weekly
Dan's favorite magazine and a great source for the business side of Hollywood. Also really good reviews by Lisa Shwarzbaum and Owen Gleiberman.
The Phoenix
The know-it-all paper of the Boston scene. Keep up on things about town here.
Film Comment
Generally a magazine that writes articles in the snooty way that we try to stay away from here. But, if you're into the scholarly scene, this is ground zero.
Roger Ebert
This page is great because it's all written by a guy who really really loves movies, Roger Ebert. You'd be surprised what he has to say. This page is a MAJOR influence on the one you're looking at now.

Top 100 Movies
Run by Aaron and Mark Caldwell, this comprehensive site is "dedicated to film fans in pursuit of finding, recommending or categorizing the greatest films of all-time." A pursuit not to be taken likely, the site contains dozens of lists from various publications as well as their own which are chockful of extras from sounds to pics to trailers and reviews. Cool movie stills trivia game each month. As far as outlooks are concerned, Aaron is the more progressive while Mark is clearly more traditional. So, they run the gamut evenly.
To See Or Not To See?
Run by Tom and Nora Kaszuba, this site is dedicated solely to DVD releases in a variety of categories. Interesting mission statement- Tom will never again see a movie on the big screen, so he reports what's good on the home front. A very ballsy, but down-to-earth approach. Lots of material for all tastes. A highlight is the unfortunate-but-true tales section chronicling nightmarish theatregoing experiences. A new and appreciated perspective, very insightful. Key to success: More content, less BS
Ain't It Cool News
The inspiration for all of us movie geeks/dreamers out there. Harry Knowles's site is testament to the American dream-sort of. Once a smalltime critic, Hollywood now looks to him to call the shots. Get the scoop on the latest projects here.
Critically Ill
Run by Michael Brendan, a freelance writer from New York who sees A LOT of movies, Critically Ill is an excellent review site, which covers every type of movie from those you know he hated  (Monkeybone) to those you know he loved (Pollock) to those that you wouldn't think he would've seen at all (Recess: School's Out). The archive of reviews, too, seems to go on forever, making for an incredibly well-rounded reference on what to see now on video/DVD. And if I may say, the man's got great taste.
Latent Image
Both Casey and Dan have been published in this excellent Boston-based film criticism journal. Now, with this excellent new page by staffer Brad Cheyne, you too can read back issues as well as learn how to get your works published! Email us if you would like any back issues mailed to you.
