BAPTISM INTO
THE LORD JESUS

"So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, 'It is finished!' And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit." (Jn.19:30) "Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection." (Rom. 6:5)

It is truly amazing how God has continually guided Brother Snoop Singh towards salvation by his receiving the Baptism into the Lord Jesus Christ.
1. Brother Snoop Singh's family had belonged to the Sikh religion which opposes Christianity. He had strongly objected to his younger brothers and sisters becoming Christians. He and his family originally resided in Sungei Siput (18 miles from Ipoh), Malaysia and in 1995 they moved to Houston, Texas, U.S.A.
2. I first met Brother Snoop Singh in the hospital in Humble, Texas in 1998 when he had heart failure and by-pass surgery. Praise and thank God he was healed after his sister and a friend from Vancouver, B.C., Houston TJC members and Christians from all over the world (through the ARK Forum) prayed for him. He repented of his sins and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. In 2001 he had severe diabetes and both his legs were amputated in 2002.
3. On Sunday November 7, 2004 the weather was unusually warm for this time of the year. Brother Snoop Singh's wife Katar Kaur also came to witness his baptism. Four young brothers from the TJC in Houston carried Brother Snoop Singh to the sea in Galveston,Texas where he was baptized into the Lord Jesus Christ.
4. Back at the TJC chapel in Houston, Texas Brother Snoop Singh was unable to receive the Sacrament of the Washing of Feet because he has no feet to be washed. Under this very unusual circumstance the minister could only preach the Word of God on Footwashing. The Lord Jesus Christ sanctifies and cleanses the Church "with the washing of water by the word." (Eph. 5:25-26)
5. Brother Snoop Singh has made a request for a pair of prosthetic legs to be fitted to him so that he can be trained to walk by himself. Since Brother Snoop Singh has very little financial resources, no medical insurance and no Medicare he is unable to have the much-needed prosthetics at this time. He has applied to a charity organization for the prosthetics and was told there is a waiting period of one and a half years. Please pray to our Lord Jesus Christ to strengthen Brother Snoop Singh's faith and also to provide this special need for him as soon as possible. The ARK Forum welcomes your helpful suggestions.
