Doll Dictionary
Some of the terms and abbreviations used in the context of one-of-a-kind dolls can be confusing . . . so I have decided to put up a little 'dictionary' of terms. Hope this helps. ;)
Abbreviations
OOAK - This is the easy one. One-Of-A-Kind!
CE - Collector's Edition
NIB - New In Box
NRFB - Never Removed From Box
OOP - Out Of Production (or Print, perhaps)
SE - Special Edition
DOTW - Dolls Of The World (A Barbie Doll by Mattel collection.)
Dictionary
Mint - The condition of the item is considered to be perfect, with no scratches, dents, dings or flaws of any sort.
Mackie Mold or Mackie Face - referring to Barbie Dolls by Mattel, this is in reference to the face mold made by designer Bob Mackie. It is thinner than a regular Barbie face, and has closed lips rather than a smile with teeth showing.
