MY SON

I sent my son down to this earth.
To become as you at His birth.
I sent Him here so He could be.
The one who would set you free.
He loves you so, oh can't you see.
He did these things just for thee,
He opened up the blind man's eyes.
He hears the children's many cries.
He made the lame to walk again.
He rebuked the evil they had within.
He cast out demons from their souls.
When He was through, they were whole.
When they found Him, He was sold with a kiss,
Oh, who'd have believed Judas could do this?
When they were through, they threw Him down,
And on His head, they placed a thorn crown.
A robe of scarlet, they put on Him there.
They spit on Him and slapped Him, they didn't care.
They walked Him through the streets, so all could see.
He had to carry His cross up the hill called Calvary.
They took Him and they nailed Him to the cross.
What did they care, to them it was no great loss.
They took a spear and put it into His side.
When they did this, oh, how my heart cried.
Oh, how I wanted to spare Him this pain.
But if it was needed, He'd do the same.
And when this thing for Him was done,
I DARKENED THE MOON, I DARKENED THE SUN.
I MADE THE EARTH SHAKE AND LET THEM ALL KNOW,
THAT THIS WAS MY SON, THAT THEY'D TREATED SO.
They took Him down, and put Him in a cave.
They rolled a stone over it to be His grave.
There is no grave that can keep Him in the ground.
To hell, he had to go, to release my souls bound.
Lucifer had no chance to win, over my son.
Because what He did, was what I said must be done.
When He visited the apostles, Thomas wasn't there.
He had to be gone somewhere.
He doubted the presence of Jesus, his Lord,
He didn't believe them, wouldn't take their word.
Then Jesus came when Thomas was there,
He said, "Thomas, look at me with much care.
Place your hands into my pierced side.
Oh, Thomas for you how I've cried!"
Then with shame how Thomas did believe.
All of Jesus’ love he did receive.
Jesus talked to the disciples told them what to do.
The Holy Spirit came down, to make them all new.
Then my son came to be with me, on the throne.
Finally, my son was with me, to forever be home.
Now that you know that He bled and died for you,
PLEASE, can't you love us, we want to make you new.
