The Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge.
When a beloved pet dies who has been especially close to someone, that pet goes to wait at The Rainbow Bridge. It is a land of meadows, hills and valleys with lush green grass and flowing streams.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine and our friend is warm and comfortable. Those old and frail friends are now young, restored to their former health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are are made whole and strong again. The animals play all day and are happy and content with each other. Only one thing is missing and is their special person(s) who loved them on earth now left behind.
Then the day comes when our friend suddenly stops, sniffs the air and looks into the distance. Their bright eyes are intent with ears up and their body begins to quiver with anticipation. Suddenly without warning they break away from their group, flying over the green grass and small stream. Their legs carry them faster and faster because YOU have been spotted.
When you and your special friend meet, you embrace. The happy kisses rain upon your face and your hands caress their beloved head. You look once more into those trusting eyes and together you cross The Rainbow Bridge. You are HAPPY, WHOLE and you are never again separated.

GALA
January 3. 2000 to August 3, 2006

Gala was a SPECIAL dog that found her way into my life, my heart and her presence would changed me for ever. Gala was simply my friend. Because of Gala, I had the honor of meeting such well know and respected breeders: Dee Dee Wells, Cyndi & Savanna Skinner, Marge Caltharp, and Sandy Woodall just to name a few.
Gala represented her breed with so much dignity & style, judges awarded her with many Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex wins, Group placements, and a Best in Specialty Show Win.
I hope Gala is at peace now - at peace where all Shar Pei angels go. My Gala left me too soon and my heart still feel her loss. Funny - Not one day goes by that I do not think of her and how lucky I was to be her friend. Something tells me Gala is looking down through the rails of the Rainbow Bridge, with her momma Hootie, grandma Giggles, and her daddy Crunch. I hope my precious girl is as pleased as I am with all the accomplishments of her daughter(s) Arielle, Casey, Katie & her son(s), Aaron, Rumor, and granddaughter(s), Taylor, Lexi, and grandson, Gobi.

"Thank you Gala Marie for sharing 6 glorious years with me; it was one incredible journey and those memories will live on in your daughters, granddaughters and great grandchildren. I look forward to the day when I see you again and can hold you, smell you and never be separated again. I am so sorry for what happened to you Gala - I am so very sorry!

                                                                                  I miss you
