AGILITY: Competes in USDAA at the Masters Level, 26" height class. He has earned his Agility Dog Championship as well as Jumper Master, Relay Champion, Snooker Champion-Bronze, Gambler Champion, Standard Agility Master. He's qualified multiple times in Grand Prix & Steeplechase, with placements.
We compete on a limited basis in AKC Agility, at the Excellent level.
Token is fast, athletic and biddable, displaying intensity, speed and great enthusiasm for the sport as well as for life itself.
FLYBALL: In his very first tournament in 2005, Token earned his FD, FDX and FDCH. After nearly a year away from Flyball, he returned in 2007 to earn his FM (Flyball Master) & has since earned his FMCH. With an awesome box turn, his personal best is 3.947 seconds as the start dog.
Token would likely be an great obedience dog but we are too busy with Agility and Flyball. He is focused and wants to please. He loves tennis balls, tugging & food!
Token is very people-oriented, he loves just about anyone he meets. It's been suggested that he should be a Therapy Dog because of his natural desire to be close to people. He likes to be in physical contact, and is extremely affectionate.
Token has a solid, stable temperament and is not at all sound-sensitive. He is generally good with other dogs, he handles new situations and environments easily, and is very resilient if he does encounter a negative situation. He is not a softie but neither is he a real hard-head. His pedigree is all herding/working lines which is vital to preserving the unique qualities of the breed. He exhibits a nice blend of drive, resilience, biddability, sociability and athleticism. He is a healthy, happy companion in the house, with a true joy for life itself.
