My Speeches
These are some of my speeches that I recited to my class about the book report I wrote.
This speech is what I recited to my class. I did a reasearch report on horse racing.
Have you ever felt like you were soaring over the ground? Well that is what it feels like when you are riding a racehorse.

Today you will be learning about equipment that is used on horses, who invented horse racing, and some surprising facts that you might have not known.

Horses have been around for thousands of years. Greeks invented the sport, but it wasn’t the kind of racing around a track. It was when a rider would sit behind the horse in a cart. Greeks didn’t participate in it because it was entertaining, but to carry their things. Romans then took the idea with them into Europe and used the sport for entertainment. They established themselves for four hundred years. Roman rules eventually ended, but the sport still lived on.

Now, I will pass around a few things that are used to groom horses. I will also show you a bridle.
This speech is just like the one above, but with different words.
Hi! I did my report on horse racing history. I learned a lot form this experience. Such as who invented the sport. The Greeks invented how to use horses, and Romans invented horse racing. I stated this in my report more specifically on how the Greeks invented how to use horses. Romans established themselves for four hundred years ruling the sport! Roman rules eventually ended, but the sport lived on to this very day.
My most liked thing that I learned about horse racing history is the sires or fathers of all the racehorses in the world! I won’t tell you all about the sires, but they are very important in horse racing history. It is quite confusing too.
If you want to learn more about horse racing, for those who love to read, I would suggest the book Horse Racing Through the Centuries, which I used for my report. For those who love movies I would suggest the movie Seabiscuit, which is about a true American horse. The horse was said to be to small to race and the jockey was too big to ride the horse. But this pair made a stunning appearance in horse history.
I hope you’ve learned a lot about horse racing history!
