Just wrote a book: "New York's Forgotten Substations: The Power Behind the Subway". . . living in Brooklyn . . . gave up my day job

When you read my book, keep in mind that its roots lie in my sign stealing adventures in college. Same thing, basically, getting into places the public isn't supposed to go, except that this time I had the blessing and help of the MTA. Kinda like letting the cat hang out in the fish market. Anyway, I'm still living in Brooklyn. I had to quit my regular architecture job a while ago to finish the book this summer. Now I'm picking up work wherever I can get it, but the market it tight, so work is slim. Having written a book and become passionate about photography, I also have little desire to commit to a full time job in an office. Right now I feel as if my life is at yet another crossroads. Kinda scary, since I just turned 34 and I still don't know what to say when people ask me what I do for a living ("Full time dreamer", from Spinal Tap, comes to mind).
