The Israeli preselction show, Kdam-Eurovision 2003 will be dedicatated to the 30th anniversary of Israels first participation in the ESC in 1973 and will be in the form of a party. The news was released in the 'Out' pub in Tel Aviv which hold eurovision nights every Sunday.

The IBA intend to celebrate the occasion along with the preselection process to find the song which Lior Narkis will perform in Riga next year. There will not only be a party in Jersusalemn but in other pubs all over Israel where the party will be broadcast by a live Satellite link.

The presenter will be Eden Har'el, former MTV Europe VJ.

IBA will after all hold a mini KDAM contest to choose the song to be sang by Lior Narkis. 4 songs will take part in the televised contest and the public will vote as to which song they would like to see represnting Israel in ESC 2003. IBA was very aware of the critiscism surrounding the cancelled KDAM final for 2003 so they felt they had to do something about it.

Originally IBA decided to have an internal committee to choose the song for Riga next year but felt to sort all the problems and gossip going around that this was the way to go.

Lior Narkis will represent Israel in Latvia. Again IBA have decided to hold no NF which is called KDAM. It is thought money problems are to do with this.
