TRT have received 4 songs which Sertab Erenar will perform in a show similar to the Israeli Kdam.The songs have been described as uptempo songs, typical "western pop"

The national final will be held in the end of February, by a method of televote.

Turkish diva Sertab Erener will represent Turkey in next years eurovision in Latvia. Confirmation was announced on a TV station.

The 38 year old singer has demanded that she sing her song completely in english which is very much against the Turks tradition. As of yet TRT have not reacted to the singers announcement. Turkey has participated in eurovision 24 times and english has only appeared in their song a few times. Never has Turkey entered a song completely in english. Enerer wants to score a european hit with her eurovision entry which she does not think is possible if the song isn't sung in english at eurovision.

Erener is famous both at home and abroad for her stage presence. She has performed with Ricky Martin and tenor José Carreras. Her songs contain both classical and modern aspects which appear on her albums which upto now has been 6 of them.
