ARMY
Memories:
My father enlisted in 1971 at the age of eighteen and retired in 1998 at the age of forty-five as Chief Warrant Officer 4
According to Dictionary.com an Army Brat is "the child of an army officer or enlisted person, esp.one who has grown up on army bases or in military communities."
I had the chance to visit many countries and experience their cultures. I have visited Paris, Chec Republic, and England.  At one point my family was stationed in Germany.
Out of all the places I have lived and visited my favorite place of Military residence was Fort Hood, Texas.  I am proud to call it home, because this is where most of my childhood milestones occurred.  I also loved Fort Hood because of its diversity in people and its welcoming environment.

One of my scariest moments in my life was during the nine months my father was called to serve in Operation Desert Storm '91.  This was the first and only war my father had to serve in.  Our family grew closer even though there were miles between us.  I had to have faith that my father would return home safe.  In the end, he came back without a scratch and only stories to tell.
