Aaron Spelling, the creator of Melrose Place, Beverly Hills 90210, Dynasty and Charmed brings us a series about morals, ethics, wholesome family values and a lesson in life learnt in every episode. The WB's highest rated series for the past two seasons is celebrating its 100th episode and was named one of the most family friendly shows on television by The Parents Television Group.

Eric Camden (Stephen Collins), a minister at a prosperous suburban church, and his wife Annie (Catherine Hicks), raise their family in the mid-west of America. They are much like any modern parents coping with everthing from childhood traumas to adolescent rites of passage as they attempt to impart a strong sense of humour and a large helping of resourcefulness are neccessary to balance the conflicting needs of their strong-willed, independant kids and keep the romance in their marriage alive.

As parents, they face the challenge of raising a family, ranging in age from toddler to teens. Matt (Barry Watson), is the first to leave the nest and considers the pre-med track. Athletically-inclined Mary (Jessica Biel) is experiencing the perils of growing up and has opted to postpone college in favour of a little soul searching and the glory of minimum wage.
Boy-crazy Lucy (Beverly Mitchell) is filled with coming-of-age angst, while Simon (David Gallagher) enters the treacherous terrain of high school ruling the school as a senior. Good-natured (at times) Ruthie (Makenzie Rosman) is well on her way by the third grade to being more demanding than all the other kids rolled into one, and the twins embark on the terrible twos.

As they face the many joys and crises that arise each day Eric and Annie are able to meet the challenges of parenting and keep their family bonds strong with love, respect and understanding, in this unique series that provides a fresh new approach to family viewing.
