George Ellis was on the staff at SubFlot Seven in Yokosuka when he took this picture on 5 July 1967. From inboard to outboard: Catfish SS-339, Bashaw AGSS-241, Redfish AGSS-395, Diodon SS-349, Salmon SS-573, Bream AGSS-243. . |
These 2 images came from Jim Kinnard (Gunnery Officer at the time)and were taken sometime after 6/28/66. Jim is the "kid" wearing the white T-shirt in the left picture. FTG2(SS) Harold (SANDY) Sanders is wearing a foul weather jacket and T-shirt in right picture. Can someone identify the other person in these pictures? |
These 2 images came from Fred Firks TM3(SS) of the Archerfish. First image of Bashaw taken in Pearl in last week of August 1963. Second image is believed to be Bashaw inboard at Sail 11 on 9/15/63, don't know what the next boat is, but that is Coucal outboard the nest. |

Cake baked by CS2(SS) Larry Clark to celebrate the 5000th surface of USS Bashaw. The number of dives is unimportant - it's the number of surfaces that counts! Thanks to Tom Wright for this image.
