My MUM Bernie HoweMy mother was born in Ireland,
And as a nurse she was grand.
This is where she met my Dad,
because of this I am glad.Tis from the war, that Dad was shot,
And she the pretty nurse, that he caught.
And though their lives were varied,
Together both of them were married.Off to a distant far-a-way Place,
She might as well been in outer space.
Together they did set up-house,
And she became the greatest spouse. As their love grew more, and they did share,
In this house where children they did bare.
She told us of a great God up above,
That never leave's anyone with out his Love. She did not worry about high fashion,
She just showed all others her compassion.
To this she said of all mankind,
Race,Color, creed, that we should be blind. So until we reach the final end,
We must treat all others as a friend.
So what more can I say about my mother,
Only as a teacher and mom, I want no other.
