Welcome to Beaucerons de l'Esprit du Vent! (Beaucerons of the Spirit Wind) We are a hobby kennel located in northern Minnesota, just outside the small town of Ely, which is close to the Canadian border. (Ely is approximently 4-5 hours north of Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN)The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is right at our fingertips so we are able to enjoy the wilderness and numerous lakes in the area both winter and summer. My kennel was founded in 2000 after my foundation bitch was confirmed and rated "exellent" in both temperament and conformation under Judge M. Alain Renaux (France). Having grown up with dogs and being involved in 4-H dog shows as a teen, I have gained alot of experience and wisdom in handling dogs and training them. I did well at the 4-H dog shows competing in agility, obedience and showmanship with my Golden Ret./ Poodle mix, Samoyed, German Shepherd/husky mix and Siberian Husky. Since then my interests have expanded to dogsledding and racing as well as competing in many different dog shows and events. Because of my interest and involvment in dogsledding and racing, my family started "Run Silent Dog Sled Trips" and our dog yard houses approximently 50-60 sled dogs at any given time. I breed, raise and train our sled dogs as well as buying many as adults from top racing kennels. I currently train for and compete in Mid-distance races in the MN, WI, and MI tri-state area. All the years of being involved in dog events and breeding and training has really given me alot of knowledge which has served me well with my Beaucerons. Beaucerons have become my passion and here at Beaucerons de l'Esprit du Vent I am dedicated to preserving the versatile Beauceron. My goal is to produce Beaucerons with a sound temperament and body, excellent conformation and working drive. It is my desire to improve and preserve this wonderful breed that I am privileged to share my life with. Our puppies are handled daily from birth and raised in a family setting. I believe early socialization is critical, especially for this breed, ensuring they are exposed to a variety of sights, sounds, and experiences. Great care is taken in matching a puppy with its new family. All breeding stock is certified free of hip & elbow dysplasia. All puppies are guaranteed in writing. I am a member of the American Beauceron Club and serve on the board of directors as Vice President for the ABC. |
