WOUNDS, WORDS AND WISDOM This hurt/comfort story depicts the Xena/Gab relationship in a way that is particularly reminiscent of the TV show's first season, with Xena having trouble expressing her emotions and the bard holding on to the fear that the Warrior Princess will leave her behind someday. It is this fear that keeps Gabrielle from revealing an injury when she's hurt in a fight. This one will warm the heart.
