According to the number of inhabitants, Berane has the biggest number of educated people in Montenegro.

There is a lot of famous scientists, university professors, academicians, artists, politicians and successful businessmen of Berane descent.

Because of quality conditions and environment – infrastructure and teaching stuff, there is a lot of students from other Montenegro regions studying in Berane.

Berane has long and rich tradition in education. For a long period, the main education institutions was Orthodox Monasteries Sudikovo and Djurdjevi Stupovi.
