Primary School "Vuk karadzic"

A long time ago, in 1869 was founded school "Vuk Karadzic". It's first teacher was Gavro Saicic, and there were only 50 students. In the Balkan war and in the First World War, this school has been completely ruined. But in 1894/1895,there was built another building, and had 157 students. But, soon, this building had also been burnt down. After the First World War, labor in the building had been continued, but it had been burnt down, again, by Italians. Staff of the school was moved into the private building, where in 1944 begun labor, until 1948/49 when a new building had been given. Not earlier than 1964,this school, finally, got a name.
But in 1985/86 labor was interrupted until 1992,when students started their way to education in new renovated building. It's very important being on a right way of making perfect and modern school, and that they're on a right way, tells particularity that they're winners of many significant awards, like: "Oktoih" award, "The 21st July" award, "The order of merit for people with silver gleams" award etc. In this school there are: Classic classrooms 6, Special 7, Cabinets 6, Classrooms for children with special needs 2, Gym 1, Technical cabinet 1, Library 1, Assembly-hall 1, Office of the principal 1, Office of the secretary 1, Office of psychologist and pedagogue 2, Dental office and pediatrician 2, Book store 1, Archive 1, School yard 1, School park 1. In library there's 11 400 books of different genres. "Vuk Karadzic" school is, now, situated in the street of Gavro Vukovic. And something that should fills in every modern school, is natural surrounding-on the eastern side of the school, there's a park which protects school from noise, and on the western side, there's a large school yard. A long time ago, in 1976,on the right side of the river Lim, was founded "The Third Primary School". But, on the 21st July, in 1977 on the city council of Berane, the name of school was changed into "Radomir Mitrovic" and that's still the name of the school. The school is situated between the hill of Jasikovac and the river Lim, which is perfectly natural and lighting environment for students and teachers. Building of this school was used in time between 1978 and 1979 by students of high-school "Panto Malisic". Surface of the school is 4600m2. The school has no gym and uses the big hall, where the local sport events are organized. The school is very damaged, so the renovation was necessary, and it has begun, with patronage of organization Caritas (80%) and Ministry of education(20%).
There are 1129 students going in this school. Since 1976 until 2004-27 generations passed through the school. There are, also, two shifts in school. The first shift includes students from the fifth until the eighth grade, and there are fifteen classrooms. The second shift includes younger students, from the first until the fourth grade, and there are twenty classrooms. This school has five subordinate sections in Lokve, Luge, Dapsice, Budimlja and Petnjik. Students who live on those territories, study there for four grades, and then-they're moving to "Radomir Mitrovic" school. We all know that the library is very important factor which helps in development of children's mind, so library is infallible part of one school. This school have 12 360 books-2000 are expertly books, and 10 360 are school literature and other genres.
Awards motivate and different kinds of sections develops creativity. How far had this school gone in creativity and knowledge tells the particularity that this school had won the golden medallion "PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT OF SCIENCE FOR YOUTH". Special member of school collective is Sabaheta Beka Maslicic, an art teacher in this school. She won the
"OKTOIH" award for contribution in education. She has different and modern
approaches in education, she works with students, develops their
creativity and motivates

world. This school also organizes "Quiz of knowledge" which has local
status. School is, also, developing leadership abilities of students,
including them in social events, by including them in "Children's
parliament", which exists about two years, and children there discuss
about children's and student's rights and school matters. When you pass
through the school, there's something you can feel-something that children
mixed: creativity, optimism, knowledge, freedom and made something which
promises greatly-a base for their further education. From there-to
