9 mikol amay ha-eretz ba-u el shlomo melch yisrael, ki hayah chacham

as the word of Hashem which he spoke to Moshe.

, and in the eyes of Moseh it was a very bad thing.

16 km The sons of Israel did not obey haShem, and in the eyes of Moses

the word was very evil.

eyes of Moshe it was a very bad thing

 

17 v'isha echat minshay b'nay hanvi-im karah el shmuel

17 BB And one woman from the women of the children of the prophets

called out to Shmuel.

17 km One woman from the women of the sons of the prophets called to

Samuel.

17.WF.And one woman of (=from among) the wives of the sons of prophets

called unto Shmuel

 

18 Hayu v'nay israel ka-aphar ha-adamah uch-chochvay hashamayim

ba-aretz ahser natan hashem l'ya'akov

18 BB B'nai Yisrael became like the does of the ground and like the

stars of the heavens on the earth land which Hashem gave to Ya'akov.

18 km The sons of Israel were like the dust of the ground and the stars

of the heavens in the land which haShem gave to Jacob.

18.WF.The sons of Israel were as the dust of the earth and the stars of

the heavens in the land which the Lord gave to Yaacov

 

19 hakol kol ya'akov v'hayadayim y'day aysav, ki lo hayu y'day ya'akov

kiday aysav

19 BB The voice is the voice of Ya'akov, but the hands are the hands of

Eisav, for there were not hands of Ya'akov like hands of Eisav.

19 km The voice the voice of Jacob and the hands the hands of Esau,

because the hands of Jacob were not like the hands of Esau.

19.WF.The voice of the voice of Yaacov and the hands of the hands of

Esau, for the hands of Yaacov were not as the hands of Esau

 

20 diber moshe el ziknay ha-am k'chol asher amar Hashem Elokay Israel

20 BB Moshe spoke to the elders of the people just as all that Hashem

G-d of Israel said.

20 km Moses spoke to the elders of the people like all which haShem G-d

of Israel said.

20.WF.Moshe spoke to the elders of the people (like) all that the Lord

21 hinay ba yom Hashem, yom asher hu choshch v'lo or

21 BB Behold the day of Hashem came, a day which it was darkness and not
