SACRAMENTO SELF-ESTEEM

                                                                                             6/27/04

Every one is born with his or her own natural talents and unique potential to be developed. Early childhood experiences either encourage or impede that development. These same experiences may discourage one to be who one really is but requires one to be some other pretended person. There is but one major crime in ones life: To be born, live and die and never become the person one was meant to be. Self-Esteem and coming from ones core self, ones authentic self plays a major role in how or whether those talents and uniqueness are developed and utilized. The “Building Self-Esteem” workshop discusses not only where low self-esteem comes from but the path to rediscovering ones true, core, authentic self, the person you were meant to be, to allow developing high self-esteem and self confidence in a self-help context.

NO ONE IS BORN WITH LOW SELF-ESTEEM.

Don't like what you've got?

Are there things you would like to do but just don't seem to get started?

Are you shy or feel insecure in many situations and would like to change?

Do you find that "shoulds" dictate what you do and say and you don't like it?

Then choose something different!

IT'S YOUR LIFE, TAKE CHARGE OF IT!

Every human has the power to change for the better. You just need to know how.

The best place to start is to build your self-esteem, your self respect. But you can only start from where you actually are right now. So accept where you are right now. Remember, where you are right now is a temporary place, because you plan to move on to better things.
Self-Esteem in this context is defined as recognizing and appreciating the inherent value of each and every human being, especially yourself. It is not an ego trip. Self-Esteem is when I come from my true center, who I really am.
It is viewed as a necessary element for a fully functioning and joyful life.

Are you one who thinks s/he can? Or are you one who thinks s/he can’t?

"If you think you can or you think you can't, YOU'RE RIGHT!!" Henry Ford

What is the PICTURE you have of yourself?
That PICTURE is called your "SELF-IMAGE."

The object in life is for each person to become the person s/he was meant to be, the development and utilization of his/her own particular talents. Early in life we are led to believe we are someone and something we are not. Early childhood traumas often establish barriers and inhibitions that dampen our drive for autonomy. This leads to frustration and self doubt. Our present self-image, the base from which we operate, is often not accurate believing we have little talent to pursue.

Here is the basis for improving your SELF-ESTEEM: Change your SELF-IMAGE.

How do I change my self-image to one that is more accurate, to who I truly am?

That is what the “Building Self-Esteem” workshop is all about.  How do I change my “Self-Image” to be the person I truly am?

On this Web Page the “Building Self-Esteem” workshop will be presented.  This is the workshop that Billy Deane Lilly has been presenting and developing with the latest information for over 15 years.
