A chance meeting. A whirlwind romance. When newlywed Joseph Prince (Colin Firth, Valmont) arrives home and discovers that his bride Cynthia (Lisa Zane, Bad Influence) has mysteriously vanished, he finds himself drawn into a vortex of danger and deceit by a woman who may never have existed at all. Aided by his cynical artist friend Elijah Hooper (Billy Zane, Dead Calm, Memphis Belle), Joe's frantic search takes him from the glitter of Bel-Air to the tarnished underbelly of LA's avant-garde art scene - and reveals a terrifying portrait of his wife's secret past. But when an underground video draws Joe into an intricate web of conspiracy and doublecrosses, Joe discovers that saving the life of the woman he loves may very well cost him his own.
Running time 96 min. Republic Pictures Home Video, 1990. Rated R
Personal Rating:
If you expect to see Billy throughout the entire movie, you'll be disappointed. He has a very small part in this one. However, you get to see his big sister in action. I think the primary focus is on Colin Firth's character, but Billy and Lisa Zane show incredible acting skills with the small parts they had. Billy looks great in this one, too (like that's really a surprise, right?) :-p
On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 6
