Head Above Water

Cameron Diaz ("My Best Friend's Wedding," "The Mask") is Nathalie, a ravishing-but-ditzy young wife planning an idyllic vacation off the coast of Maine with her new husband George (Harvey Keitel).  Unfortunately, Nathalie is also the object of desire for the only other people on the island:  childhood pal Lance (Craig Sheffer, "A River Runs Through It") and ex-flame Kent (Billy Zane, "The Phantom").  That night, with George and Lance away, Nathalie does her best to remain faithful, and Kent does his best to change her mind.  But by the next morning, love is the last thing on Nathalie's mind as she and the men in her life are plunged into a disaster-prone chain reaction of outlandish complications.  A star-powered, wildly unconventional comedy of errors from Oscar winning producer-director Jim Wilson ("Dances With Wolves," "The Bodyguard").

Running time 92 mins.  New Line Home Video 1997  Rated PG-13

Personal Rating:

This is another one of those movies where you expect to see Billy throughout the entire film.  Surprise, you don't.  He's only in it for about 15 minutes in the beginning.  He character was very charming.  He looks his best, as always.  :-)

On a scale of 1-10, I give it a 7.  It would be an 8 if he (Billy) was in it a little longer.
