Aurora Parakeets, Poultry & Doves - page four

Hi Folks, that's "Yoko", my hen on the left & I'm "Sacki", on the right. We are Black-tailed,   White Japanese Bantam Chickens, & we live in the condo, out back of mom's place. We sure love them. I've never gotten mean with them, 'cause they treat us so good.. P.S. That's "Pooh-Bear" behind us. She's our next door neighbor.

Hi, we are "Frenchy" & "Bridget". We are d'Uccle Porcelains...a hand delivered gift from mom's friend, Joan Martin in Picayune, Mississippi. She rigged a perch over her bathtub, in her camper, so we traveled in style! She even tamed us for mom.

Hi, I'm "Bowinkle". I'm a Cochin, Splash Bantam & I'm king of the roost around here! Yes! I'm the one mom squirted with the water bottle!! She sure took the wind out of my sails...I even like her to love on me, now...when she stops, I go "Buk, Buk, Buk"! If it's a nice day, she lets me out in the yard to scratch & eat grass, while she cleans my pen & puts food in my bowl. If it's a bad day, she cuts the grass up, inside my pen.

Hi, my name is "Mutt". I'm a Black Heart Bantam. I love my mama so much, I could sit in her hand all day    long, while she pets me & talks baby talk to me. When   she comes into my apartment, if she don't pick me up right away, I'll jump up on her shoulder. My mama has to carry me around, while she works in my pen, 'cause I'm so spoiled. Some of those black spots you see on me are shaped like hearts. Below, you will see what             the BLACK HEART FEATHERS look like.

The best nests you can get for chickens are sold as covered, cat litter boxes at Wal-Mart.    They are plastic & come in colors. They are sold at some of the hatcheries as nests, for a higher price. HEALTH TIP: Buy dried, chopped garlic from the spice rack & sprinkle a little over the feed, as a natural wormer, antibiotic & mosquito repellent. They love it!
