Comments: Trill is monotone trill which increases and then decreases in volume. Sounds like a very fast ovenbird that is trying not to be so loud.  This is a quiet, timid bird with a soft voice even up close.

Stokes: Call is a musical trill similar to Chipping Sparrow's, but more musical.  Call is a sweet "chip".

Robbins: "Song is a musical trill, slower than Chipping Sparrow's 4-7/min."

Peterson: "Song a trill, like that of Chipping Sparrow but looser, more musical, and slower in tempo."
