The links below are titles of stories. These stories are interconnected and span one day in October of 1994. In brief, they're about how one person's actions can affect other people in ways that the first person would never imagine. If you read the stories, you'll find that characters who don't even know each other base decisions and actions on each other's choices.

Short Fiction - Realistic:
The following nine stories take place in the course of one day and are interconnected. They're presented in chronological order, but I don't know if that's the best way to read them.
Decency
Sharing Life
Challenges
Halfway
Unfamiliar
Listen
Lovely Without
Murmur
Still Shiny
Short Fiction - Supernatural:
One of the pitfalls of working in my industry is that I have to choose between writing game stuff (for which I know I'll be paid) and my own stuff (which is a gamble). Anyway, here are two stories that aren't game related and haven't yet been sold.
Endless Gray
Mistress
I mentioned on my bio page that I recently wrote some material for the revised edition of Werewolf: The Apocalypse.  My assignment included seven fiction "fullpages" that were meant to open chapters, kind of like little teasers.  They were left out of the final cut, apparently so that fiction could focus on the "signature characters" for each of the tribes.
Be that as it may, my boss has informed me that I'm allowed to post that fiction on this page, so here it is.  Of course, if you play
Werewolf, you'll get more out of it, but I think it's pretty solid anyway. It's located here.
I wrote the opening fiction for a book for Demon: The Fallen called Earthbound. The developer changed the ending of the story; in my version, these were the last two paragraphs of the story:

Like a zombie, I walk into the hall, pick up the silver mask, and walk out the door, still clutching the quilt. It still feels like Maddlynn, - or, more truthfully, like Maddlynn and I together. How long before that feeling fades?
I tuck the mask into my jacket and walk towards my master's new home. There's nothing else I can do.

I deliberately ended the story on a down note; I wanted to underscore that once you get in bed with an Earthbound, you're well and truly screwed. Mike apparently felt that the story needed a more empowering ending. His prerogative; I like mine better.
