Irish born Kenny Kenny hails from a small town in Ireland. He originally attended The National College of Art & Design in Dublin with classmate Philip Tracy. He left his homeland for the bigger & brighter prospects of 1980’s London. While in London he worked with Rachel Alburn who was Leigh Bowery’s partner. In 1986 Kenny left London for New York City. At that time Susanne Bartsch discovered Kenny Kenny and made him the doorman at many of New York’s most outrageous parties. Around 1990 Kenny Kenny became the most sought after door person in New York. In addition, he also hosted some of his own parties as well as being muse to some of New York’s top designer’s.
Kenny’s outspoken personality and individuality has made him an advocate for 3 decades of nightlife in both London & New York. Today he resides at Plaid nightclub in NYC where he hosts Buckingham with Amanda Lepore. Aside from his many interests Kenny is now exploring the world of photography. The photos from South America & Cuba reflect human interest subjects.
