| Christ Our Life |
| These People at Colossi had become Christians.(Col. 1:2) They had been raised with Christ from the burial of basptism.(Col. 2:12) This had put them into such a relationship with Christ that it was said "When Christ your life shall appear...."(Col. 3:4) If we are Christians, the Christ is our Savior,our Mediator, our Head, our King, and Our Life. Christ is our source of Life Christ is the source of phyical life. (Gen. 1:26, John 1:3) Christ is the source of spiritual life. (Col. 2:12 3:1, Eph 2:1) Christ announced personally that he is the life. (John 14:6) Our life began when we were born again and became Christians(John 3:3-5, Rom 6:3-4) Christ is our life in the sense that he is the sustainer as well as the provider of life. He is the bread which sustains us. (John 6:23, 48-57) Christ is our life in the sense that he is the object of our lives. (2 Cor. 5:15, Matt 13:44-46) Christ is our life in that he is the pattern for us. (Phil. 2:5, Heb. 12:1-3) hrist is our life in that he is our hope, our promise. (2 Tim. 1:1) Christ is our life in that the book of life is his. (Rev. 20:12) Our names are written there if we are Christians. (Rev. 20:12) How may we have Christ as our life? We may have him as our life through the gospel. (2 Tim. 1:10) We must first of all come to him. (John 5:40) We must receive the words of life in order to have Christ as our life. (John 6:63, Phil. 2:16, 2 Peter 1:3) We must believe and obey these words of life to have this life. (John:20 30-31) Is Christ Your Life? |
