| These are the STEPS you MUST take to be a New Testament Christian or to be a member of the Lord's church! |
| 1) You need to hear the gospel In Romans 10:17, the Bible tells us "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." This means you need to start believing what the Gospel (Bible, The Word) is teaching you. For it is the only True Word God gave us. 2) Believe in Christ In John 8:24, the Bible tells us, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if you believe not that I am he, ye shall die in you sins." This means that you must believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. 3) Repent of your Sins In Luke 13:3, the Bible tells us, "I tell you Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." This mean you must be sorry for you sins and Turn way from your old life. 4) Confess Christ In Acts 8:37, the Bible tells us, "If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest." This means you must not be ashamed to tell man that you believe in Christ Jesus and that He is your Lord and Savior. This is done just before you go into that watery grave of baptism. 5) Be Baptized In Mark 16:16 and Acts 2:38, the Bible tells us, "(Mk.16:16) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. (Acts2:38) Repent, and be baptzied everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins." Please look at the order in which the Bible tells us, Be baptized then you are Saved. 6) Remain Faithful In Revelation 2:10 the Bible tell us, "Be thou faithful till death." This means to live our life's the way that God want's us to, by obeying Christ's teaching in our every day life. When you do all these thing(the first 5 steps) as God has commanded us to do to be saved. You are then saved by His grace through faith and have a hope of heaven as He has promised in His word as long as you remain faithful. |
