Let us look.   Matt. 3:18 says Jesus saw Peter and Andrew.
Jesus chose Peter to follow him not the religious world.

Jesus began his preaching and teaching of the Kingdom(the
church) about thirty years of age. That means that Peter was
a
man of a certain age.

We know that Peter was one of Jesus's Apostle's. Acts 2:1-38

We know that Peter was marriage because Jesus healed his
mother-in-law. Matt. 8:14-15

We know also that Peter had children because he was an Elder
in the Church. I Peter 5:1  In Titus 1:6 an elder must be the
husband of onewife and have faithful children.

So we know that Peter was marriage, he was an apostle, he had
children and was and Elder.

There is no where in the Bible that the word "Pope" is found or associated with Peter or anyone else. We also know that Peter
followed Jesus in the the teaching of the Word.
Peter obeyed GOD not man. Acts 5:29

The Bible tell us when Christ spoke these words in Matt. 16:18
" Upon this rock
I will build my Church" he was not  speaking
about Peter but what Peter said a few verses before in Matt. 16:16,
that He(Christ Jesus)was "The Christ" the son of the Living God,
this is what Jesus was refering to when he said upon this rock,
For Jesus is the Savior of the world.

Is there any other Head in the Church but Christ, lets see what the
Bible says.
He is the Savior of the Body of the Church. Eph. 4:4
We also know that Jesus is the head over the true Church. Eph 5:23
Not some man.
The Church which is his body. Eph 1:22-23

We know that the true ministry is for edifying of the body
(the church) of Christ. Eph. 4:12

The Bible tells us in many places that Christ is the Head of the
Church.  Col. 1:18
That the Church is his Kingdom.  Col. 1:13
We know that all spiritual blessing come from God not from any
man on earth. Eph. 5:23
He is the Savior of the body.(which is the Church) Eph. 5:23

Was Peter the Pope?
No
Why? Because the Bible, God's Word tells me so.
