| You have people who: church of Christ Brother Pearl Maynard You have many people in the world who worship God ignorantly or in vain. These are the people who you here say "I know that I am saved because God said what ever you ask I will do", "All you have to do is ask God to save you and He will. These are ignorint people to God's word. For we know by his word that God the Father does not chose to hear a sinner's prayer(I Peter 3:12). Also in Mark 16:16 it said "them that believeth and are baptized shall be saved". You have people who are vain worshipers, Jesus said "in vain you do worship me" Matt. 15:9. You have many people who are false worshipers of God. These are followers of the Doctrines of men and not God. You have people that Jesus called hypocrites because of their false teaching. Matt. 15:7 You have people who confess Him with their mouth but their hearts(their spiritual heart or mind) are far from Him. Matt 15:8 You have people who are blind worshipers who follow the blind leaders that teach falsely God's word, this WILL lead both to hell. Matt. 15:14 You have people who are not wise, but are foolish for they build their house upon sand(false teaching) and great will be their fall. Matt.7:26-27 You have people who has harden their heart to God's word. Matt. 13:15 You have people who have dulled their ears of hearing to God's teaching. Mt.13:15 You have people who have closed their eyes to God's true word. Mt. 13:15 You will have people who WILL die in their sins for being ignorant to God's Holy Word. John 8:24 Apostle Paul said in II Cor. 4:3-4 "if the gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost". Why, because they choose not to hear the truth, not because they can't know God's truth. Why, because the god of this world(the Devil) has blinded their minds to God's truth. The bible in Mark 16:16 teaches us this "them that believeth not the gospel(of our Lord), SHALL be damned. You have people who have heard the truth and believed it but have not acted on it. I Cor.15:2 Believing is not enough to save you from your sins. Then what is enough? Here is what the Bible(God's True Word) and Christians must tell you to be saved: We must be planted in the likeness of Jesus, in death(to our OWN will), burial(in baptism by total covering of water not a sprinkle) and resurrection(which means a whole knew life, a different person to do God's will not our own. Just as Jesus did, for after he died and was resurrection He then became our LORD AND our SAVIOR. Read Rom.6:3,II Cor.5:17 Here is God's ONLY plan for our Salvation. Hear the word. Rom 10:17 We must Believe Christ is the son of God. John 8:24 Repent of our sins. Luke 13:3 Confess Christ with our mouth before man. Act 8:37 Be Baptized. Mark 16:16, Act 2:38 Remain faithful till our death. Rev. 2:10 We cannot chose out of these what we want to do, for God said ALL has to been done before Christ will add us to His church. Act 2:47 Please be people who are NOT foolish, or ignorant to God's true. Don't worship in vain. Don't follow false doctrines of men or false teachers who try and blind you to God's true word or the meaning of it. Don't be mislead by the god of this world who is the Devil. Be people who are WISE, build you house(or soul) on solid ground which is Christ Jesus and his true teaching. Matt.7:24-25, Eph.2:20 March 9. 2007 |
