10 years ago my life changed forever
when I acquired my first Chihuahua, "India". She is a beautiful long coat
from the famed Dartan and Tiny Mite lines. She embodied everything one could
want in a Chihuahua and more! I began showing her when she was approximately
8 months of age and she ultimately finished her championship on the highly
competitive Florida circuit. From that point I was "bitten by the showing
bug" and have been exhibiting and breeding ever since. India will forever
have a special place in my heart.
Over the past 10 years, I have tried
to build my breeding program on Dartan, Jo-El's, Ouachitah and most recently
Mina's lines. I breed very selectively. Since the planning and conception
of my very first litter, my goals have always been to produce Chihuahuas
that conform as closely to the Chihuahua breed standard, as set forth by
the American Kennel Club. It is my hope that with each subsequent litter,
I get closer and closer to that standard of perfection.
Although I have owned and loved Cavaliers
for over 10 years, it has been about 6 years since I purchased Bobby, my
first show quality Cavalier from Linda Flynn (Linjato) of the U.K. Bobby
is a wonderful dog who is a son of Linda's well known dog, Linjato Ace of
Base "Dylan". I showed Bobby to his AKC Championship which he completed with
4 majors! Shortly thereafter another dog from Linda came into my life, Linjato
Moonlight Dolly Bird, otherwise known as "Jilly". As you will see from her
photos, she is a very Glamorous bitch who also finished her AKC championship.
Since that time, Biscay Dream Lover, "Eden" became part of my family. It
was an honor to have Karen Zokovitch entrust this spectacular bitch to me.
I am eternally grateful to her. Eden is a gorgeous Ruby bitch with an outstanding
pedigree and is a grand daughter of the famous English Champion Alberto of
Kindrum. She is a continual wellspring of joy to me. I am extremely fortunate
to be "owned by her." Most recently, I had the good fortune to have the
opportunity to purchase a lovely Cavalier from Sweden. Pringel's Gabrielle
"Ellie" bred by Pia Andersson. Ellie is a very well bred bitch that holds
great promise. Sweden is known for their extremely high standards in breeding
healthy dogs. Ellie's pedigree holds no exception. Her parents and grandparents
are Heart Clear well into advanced age.
My dogs are family members and live
with me in my home as my "kids". Each one is adored and treasured. My dogs
have always been a huge part of my life and provide me with an unending source
of pleasure.
I am an active member in several dog
clubs and thereby committed to their codes of ethics and breeding standards.
They include the Chihuahua Club of America, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Club, USA (CKCSC, USA) and it's regional affiliate, Cavaliers of the South.
Locally, I am a member of the Boca Raton Dog Club and the Toy Dog Club of
South Florida.
In an effort to improve the longevity
of Cavaliers, all breeding dogs are cleared by a specialist for Heart, Eyes,
OFA Hips and Patellas's.
All puppies are sent home with a written
well puppy exam and health certificate from my Veterinarian. In addition,
all puppies are sold on a "restricted" and/or limited registration. This
simply means you are unable to register any resulting offspring.
A spay neuter contract must be signed
prior to you receiving your extra special puppy. I am committed to my puppies
for their entire life, so I am only a telephone call away. I encourage all
members of my "extended family" to stay in touch.
I occasionally have puppies and young
adults available to "hand picked" homes. I only do select, well thought out
breedings with the objective of producing quality Chihuahuas and Cavaliers
that are a contribution to the beauty and longevity of their respective
breeds.
