CHAR'S CAJUN GREEN BEANS

Things you will need:

I was never a green bean eater unless it was in soup :-)  However, while I was pregnant with Jeremy, my mom had made a huge pot of green beans.  For some strange reason, I craved them.  I have since tried my darndest to copy my mom's style, but the above is as good as it gets *grin*

Fry bacon till crispy. *You can substitute smoked sausage, sliced.  In that case, fry down and simmer until tender.  Remove all the excess grease sans approximately 2 TB.  Add chopped onion, seasoning, green beans, and margarine. Stir well and often to prevent scortching.  Simmer over low heat till beans are extremely tender (approximately 45 minutes).   * If you choose to add potatoes, do so towards the end of cooking time to ensure that the cubes will not fall apart :-)  Enjoy :-)
