Our wallpaper is reproduced with permission from Mike Perry's Louisiana Home Page. His website has loads of information on Louisiana - travel, history, where to eat and what to do. Y'all come. He also runs a company called Progressive Computer Services, so he knows what he's doing! Mike's original wallpaper, la_rock.gif is a gray "stone" background. I changed it to beige, to make it a little different and not a direct rip-off of Mike's site, and saved it as la_rock2.gif.
Love this one. It comes from the Icon Bazaar, one of the best freeware/shareware icon spots on the web. Check them out at: http://www.iconbazaar.com/ Lots of folks are now using this chili pepper on their pages. Never being able to leave well enough alone, I "tweaked" this one a little - reducing the colors to eight so that it would load faster.
The Jeansonne/Johnson Logo I
designed myself, using Adobe PhotoDeluxe. The Scottish flag came from a CD of flags,
and the Acadian flag was "borrowed" from Yvon Cyr's fabulous website. but,
again, "tweaked" by me to match the dimensions of the Scottish flag , and
colors were reduced for faster loading. I also made the "Acadian Pride"
logo using the same flag image. The logos for Cajun and Creole on-line and Cajuns
of the Net, are taken from their sites, as part of membership in these fine organizations.
Click on their logos on our main
page to link to these sites and find out how you can join. (Free!).
The
little crawfish button
is being used with permission from Neil Dronet's excellent Cajun cuisine website,
"CAJUN BREW" (Home of the Ragin'
Cajun Cuisine Pages) Visit them at http://rampages.onramp.net/~ndronet/
Talk about GOOD!! Neil would rather be known for his recipes than his graphics,
but this is the best looking little mudbug on the Internet in my view......
It's
copyrighted, so if you want you use it you had better ask Neil AND send him a recipe.
(check his page for my grandparents' turkey with dirty rice dressing recipe, coming
soon.
The gator came from another free graphics site which I am desperately trying to find so that I can give credit, because it's a mighty fine gator. I DO care about intellectual property -- it's just that this little guy was so cute that I lost my head..... and snitched him without noting the source. If you know where he came from (I'm looking) please e-mail me. If he came from your site, don't sue me, just send me an irate e-mail and I'll rectify the situation. Watch this space for updates and links.
