Macon
Macon is located near the Belgium-French border, about 5 miles west of Chimay, and about two hours north of Paris.
It is noted for its linden tree, on the church square, which is centuries old, and has supports built for its ancient branches.
Albert deCuire's grandfather, Simon deCuire, I, served as mayor of Macon, according to Rev. Leon Lybaert, town historian.
