Angel Today

I kissed an Angel today, and then she flew away
Away to another world, where? Well I really can't say
I touched the wings and felt the purity there
I bowed my head and I said a prayer

God grant me the serenity and peace of mind
I saw an Angel today so peaceful and kind
The face was aglow with an aura so bright
I wanted to touch her wings, but it didn't seem right

Wings of purest gold enhanced the sky
I saw my Angel today as she did fly
There was a feeling deep within my soul
Angels are always with us I am told

Such beauty such grace; I saw the light
Today I am wishing I could hold my Angel tonight
In a land where only the Angels dare to go
I saw my Angel and I loved her so

Such inner peace my heart stood still for awhile
I remember the angelic smile
Moments seem like hours; memories linger on
Perhaps someday I will see my Angel alone

Alone, just she and I precious are the memories
With sadness I often cry
I wonder why the Angel flew my way
She dipped her wings then flew away

Angels are for real; I hope you believe
I saw an Angel. Then she did leave
What does the future hold for me you ask?
I pray to be an Angle on tear stained glass

Oh! Yes I want to fly away where there is
No more pain
I pray God let me see my Angel again.
