I went for my flowers today
Pink and purple petunias
Filled the hummingbirds feeders
I planted them in my boxes.
I thought of you the whole
time
You always loved to see them
bloom
Yellow red and all the other
colors.
Will watch them grow and think
of you
While the hummingbirds come
and go
The bird feeders filled to
the top
Cardinals are black and beautiful
red.
Doves are still fighting for
food
The sparrows still keep eating
Blue jays knocking food from
the feeder
Just like the same thing all
over again.
God has told me to keep on
living
Can plant flowers in heaven
In the garden so beautiful
and bright
Angel dust will make them
grow.
Will care for them like I
always have
Keep your eye on them
Don't let them go bad
Beautiful flowers for all
to see.
Bushy Tail still stealing
the feed from the birds
Going round the tree still
chasing each
Digging in my flower boxes
Looking for nuts they planted
last fall.
God will keep them looking
nice
Provide the rain to keep them
nice.
So all the flowers keep coming
Till the frost gets them in
the fall.
