Welcome to Brainman's
Project Tractor Page
My restoration of a Simplicity model 3212 V. A 12 H.P. 3 speed with reverse and variable  speed drive.  4 acres of grass to cut with a 48" deck. Built for my honey for the "lawn mower races" she calls her "Martha"
I wish I had before pics.   All the important drive components have been re-built Except for the 12 h.p. Briggs cast iron motor.
Annie wanted this color! (It's easy to do on the computer) . Guess I'll have to get her special glasses so she doesn't think it's red.
The operators viev shows the full instrumentation of this wonderful machine. A key switch, light switch and an amp meter guage!!  Note the "Martha Stewart" seat cushion!!
I put rubber grommets in the metal seat so she can tie her cushion on. the wheel weights fit the fronts on a farmall cub.
All the decals have been taped off before painting. The colors are "safety red and almond". The tires are origional and cleaned up nice. The head lights have been extensively re-constructed.
The gas tank was in desparate need of a nice piece of copper and some careful soldering. The engine is still origional, a little noisy, but runs good with a new head gasket & re-built carb.
A new set of points, a new coil, clean & paint the deck, greast the spindles, sharpen the blades, adjust all the mechanisms, & a bunch more little details and "Martha" is as good as new!!
Well allmost. She's an ol'die and a goodie. Changed all the oils, put on a new hitch pin (for the trailer), gas her up,  keep her maintained & I'm sure she'll be a fun and pleasureable workhorse!
Special thanks to John Stocker for not putting her out to pasture. I think you'll all agree that this one was'nt meant to be a 'parts' piece.
