About the author: Brian Jones
Brian Jones was born in Perth, Western Australia, in 1954.

His first book,
Searching for Tony: Profile of a Missing Person, was published in 1988; it tells the heartbreaking story of his brother's disappearance from Townsville in 1982. Brian became an advocate for missing persons when he inaugurated the National Missing Persons Week in 1988, and founded a support group in Sydney known as Families and Friends of Missing Persons.

Since December 1989, Brian has lived in Asia. He has taught English at the Guizhou University (China), De La Salle University (Manila) and Woosong University (South Korea). A speaker of Cantonese, he worked in Hong Kong from 1991-1999.

Brian is presently contracted with the South Korean government as an
English Consultant (with the Korean Intellectual Property Office), and he works as a proofreader with the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST).

For many years Brian has been interested in family history and genealogy, especially with convict ancestors in Perth and his colourful forebears from Caboolture, Queensland.

He now lives with his wife Nora and daughter Tinsey in the city of
Daejeon (Taejon) in South Korea where he keeps rolling like a stones...

Brian Jones has published two books on missing persons: one on the disappearance of his brother Tony Jones, called Searching for Tony: Profile of a Missing Person (Spectrum Publications, 1988), and the other on his missing ancestor Goodwin Geddes, called The Geddes Mystery.
