I was going through life trying to do my own thing Then one day a man stopped by He said "Follow me and be a fisher of men." So I went and didn't even ask why Others followed too and as we journeyed we asked What manner of man could He be For we watched Him heal the lame and diseased... This man of Galilee.
Then He came on board and said, "Launch out to the deep let down your nets for a draught." So I wearily turned and did as He said And was astonished at the fishes we caught I don't understand the power of this man As I fell down there at His knees For His presence alone had revealed my sin.... This man of Galilee
I followed from afar when they took Him from The Garden fo Gethsemane They brought Him to trial and as I watched by the fire A maid said she recognized me I cursed and I swore but when His eyes met mine I went out and wept I would never deny.... This man of Galilee
We ran to the tomb when we heard He had risen And then I stepped inside I stood in wonder when I saw the grave clothes Of the one who had been crucified Was it true I questioned could He be alive Oh how could a thing like this be But as we gathered He came and stood in our midst... This man of Galilee
Then He led us out and was blessing us there At a place called Bethany When a cloud received Him out our sight We stood there still trying to see "Why stand ye here gazing up into Heaven," Asked the ones who were standing near me "For as you've seen Him go so shall He return... This man of Galilee."
