The main character and hero of the game who is a SeeD at the Balamb Garden Military Academy. He is one of the two people (the other is Seifer) that uses the gunblade which is a rare weapon and hard to master. His attitude and personality usually makes people think that he's selfish and lacks team unity. He can best be described as a lone wolf and this perceived image of him is fine by him.

Squall's Weapons: Revolver:Squall's first weapon in the game. Comes with the Rough divide limit break. Shear Trigger: Need a steel pipe and 4 screws before you get this. Comes with rough divide and fated circle limit breaks. Cutting Trigger:You need a mesmerize blade and 8 screws to get this one. Flame Saber: Need a betrayal sword, turtle shell, and 4 screws. Adds Blasting zone to limit break possibilities. Twin Lance:Need a dino bone, red fang, and 12 screws. Punishment: Need a chef's knife,2 star fragments, a turtle shell, and 8 screws. Lion Heart:Squall's strongest weapon which also comes with the strongest limit break with the same name. You need an adamantine, 4 dragon fangs, and 12 pulse ammo to get this weapon. Pulse ammo aren't available to you unless you use the Ammo-RF ability. One energy crystal refines into 10 pulse ammo and a laser cannon refines into 5.
