| This game is not really neccessary for you to play in Final Fantasy VIII and is some what of a side quest. But if you do decide to play it you can get rare items from the cards you win from minor enemies you encounter, bosses, and GF fights. This is granted you have the Card Mod ability. The items you refine could be used to remodel your weapons or as something to sell as money. The cards you can win come in different types and levels ranging from level one to ten. The different types are monster cards, boss cards, GF cards, and player cards which are usually the strongest types. |
| How to Play: First you'll obviously need a deck of cards to use as your hand. This is easy to obtain, all you do is go the second story hallway in the Garden and talk to the person that should be sitting there. He should give you a deck of cards. Once that's done you can now begin playing basically anyone that has a deck of cards by challenging them with the square button. Now here are the basics to playing the game. The main goal of every game is to flip over as many of your opponent's cards as you can. You do that by having a higher number on a card on the same side as your opponent's. For example: You stick a nine next to a 4. That causes you to flip over your opponent's card which is good. Although this may seem a little confusing you'll get after a little practice. If you win you get to chose 1 or more (depending on what trade rule your playing by) of your opponent's cards to keep. This of course goes vice versa if you lose which is why I enjoy the handy reset button. :D Although you may think that flipping over cards is easy after a while there are other things you have to think about. Like that your opponent is going to do next. Never stick a weak side out in the open which will make it vulnerable to be flipped over unless your trying to have some master plan thing going on. You also have to live with the other rules that regions sometimes play with. These rules most of the time aren't very much in favor of your winning and cause you to lose. |
