                "The Reunion"
                        Part 2
A neighbor found the elderly lady at 8 a.m. the next morning.
Worried when she had not recieved an answer either by door bell or by phone,
she had let herself into the small apartment with the key that had been given her.
Entering the living room she saw her friend seated in the rocking chair facing the window.
From behind she called her name.
There was no response.
Approaching the rocker, she knew.
She knew by the absolute stillness.

Coming to stand between her friend and the window,
she faced the seated figure.
A slight gasp escaped her lips and she placed her hand to her mouth much as one afraid of breaking a solemn silence.
Her friend bore the most beautiful smile she had ever seen!
Though her lips were closed and her eyes shut,
she was radiant!
The smile of one who had found complete joy and peace.

The neighbor seated herself in one of the living room's comfortably worn chairs.
She wondered who or what her friend could have seen those last few moments of her life.
Finally, reluctantly, she rose to go about the task at hand.
Making her way to the phone, she looked once again toward her friend.
Suddenly her eyes fell upon something dropped by the side of the rocker.
Going to the chair she knelt and retrieved a small, heart shaped box made out of a sturdy cardboard from the floor beside the rocker.
Lifting the lid to reveal the contents she found a dried sprig of parsley,
a small round orange object that powdered from age when touched,
and a small white flower petal tinged with yellow.
Gently she closed the box and placed it on the living room table.
From there, she went to call the family.

        The End
"Somewhere in time together we are
Shoo and I sitting under our star.
Somewhere in time together we'll be
forever and always
Shoo-Fly and me.

Somewhere in time our world did not end.
Somewhere in time I'm still with my friend.
Somewhere our days have not passed us by.
Somewhere in time sit Shoo-Fly and I.

Together in time
me and Shoo-Fly."
