Chaplin at his best. This hilarious film looks at the life of a poor man’s (The
Tramp) search for gold. In his pursuit he is constantly bombarded with obstacles
like the threat of starvation and unrequited love. The Tramp is Chaplin’s most
famous character and in this film I found myself easily identifying with him.
