The Non-Christian (non-believer) & Hades & the Lake of Fire

What happens to the non-Christian or non-believer (in Christ as Savior) when he dies? And what happens to the non-Christian and non-believer on judgment day?

Lk. 16:19-31 – The non-believer's physical body is buried but his spirit and soul go to Hades, where there is torment and agony in its flame. Lk. 12:20, death is the removal of soul from body.

Jn. 3:18, 36 – There is judgment to those who do not believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And the wrath of God is upon those who do not obey the Son of God (accept Christ as Savior – 1 Jn. 3:23).

2 Thes. 1:6-9 – There is eternal destruction away from the presence of the Lord to those who do not know God and to those who do not obey the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ (accept Christ as Savior – 1 Jn. 3:23).

Matt. 11:20, 23, 24 – An entirety of people are going to descend into Hades and will incur worse judgment than Sodom (which God has already physically destroyed by fire) because they did not repent (realizing that the miracles that Jesus did were evidence or a sign that He was the Savior).

Matt. 13:41, 42, 49, 50 – The wicked and lawless are cast into the furnace of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Matt. 18:7-9 – There is eternal fire and hell fire for those who stumble (sin).

Matt. 23:33 – A sentence of hell for these sinfully hypocritical Pharisees.

Matt. 25:41, 46 – Eternal fire and eternal punishment for those who do not help needy Christians (believers). It's also the place for the devil and his angels.

Rev. 19:20; 20:10 – The devil, the beast (political world ruler – 13:2-8), and the false prophet are thrown alive into the lake of fire and brimstone where they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

Rev. 20:11-15; 21:8 – Hades is an intermediate place of suffering for the unsaved dead prior to the white throne judgment. Then all the unsaved dead from Hades are brought before the white thrown judgment to be sentenced to eternal punishment in the lake of fire since their names are not written in the book of life.

Christ's resurrection was a bodily resurrection from the grave.
