DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to my grandfather, George Thomas Palmer, and to all the other courageous men and women who fought, or were involved, in the defence of Hong Kong during December, 1941.

I would also like to dedicate this book to my grandmother, Catherine Jeanette (O'Hanley) Palmer.  Although my grandfather was a pillar of strength for some of the men during their experiences in the Second World War, my grandmother was a pillar of strength and guiding light for George and their family after his return from the war.  She is still going strong at the time of writing the first edition of this book.
